Educate, Market, Enable and Deliver with Microsoft Surface

The Ingram Micro Surface-as-a-Surface (SAAS) offering is all about enabling our channel partners and resellers to promote the Surface range and increase it’s already strong positioning in the premium device space.  It calls upon all business areas of the Ingram Micro ecosystem and will empower resellers to offer the entire Surface and Microsoft suite. The end-to-end solution allows reseller partners to accelerate implementations for their own customers and permit a degree of flexibility.  Additionally, customers have access to leasing options which endeavour to reduce risk and will improve key financial measurements, with the adaptability of trade in and buy back services from Ingram Micro.

As part of our development with SAAS we are focusing on educating our resellers even more. In order to do this we find it beneficial hosting small and intimate events where we are able to share the SAAS offering and model alongside our Ingram Micro value proposition. These events involve a small number of opportunity resellers identified by their engagement with Surface and interest in selling the SAAS offering.

A great example of an event that we ran in collaboration with Microsoft was our ‘Evening of Opulence’ on 30th March. The event took place at The Big Easy in Canary Wharf and started off with a few insightful Microsoft Surface Presentation before leading on to dinner and then hospitality and entertainment on a private yacht. The event was a huge success with resellers engaging with Ingram Micro and Microsoft on SAAS and understanding the full proposition. Events like this are a great way to enhance working relationships and network with channel partners on a 1-2-1 level. The event itself was exclusive and had copious elements of knowledge and fun to a premium level to match both the Ingram Micro and Microsoft brand.

We have another event taking place in June where we will continue to present our SAAS offering. For the remainder of the year our aim is to achieve our growth objective and continue educating and enabling our reseller partners.
